Commitment to Care

Creating a safe, worry-free GSA Connects experience is our top priority.

GSA is preparing Connects 2022 in Denver, Colorado, as both in-person and online everywhere meeting. With the in-person meeting, GSA will strive to make the meeting as safe and comfortable as possible for all individuals onsite—attendees, speakers, staff, vendors, and venue personnel. We are monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and are in constant communication with our partners at the Colorado Convention Center, Visit Denver, hotels within our block, GSA Councilors, and the Denver local organizing committee, and are reviewing updated CDC guidelines.

Fully Hybrid and Accessible Meeting

GSA will live stream and record for on-demand viewing all Pardee Keynote Symposia, Presidential Address & Awards, Noontime Lectures, Special Lectures, Halbouty Distinguished Lecture along with all topical and discipline sessions. GSA will be able to accommodate live oral online presentations for those speakers unable to attend in-person. Posters presenters will also be asked to upload an e-Poster to the meeting app along with creating their poster to present in-person (if they chose to attend in-person). You must be registered for the meeting in order to present remotely.

In-Person Attendees

We’re incorporating measures that will ensure optimal health and sanitary conditions in all environments where in-person interactions take place. Read our Commitment to Care plan for Connects 2022.

Vaccination Policy

GSA highly recommends and prefers that if you plan to attend Connects 2022 in-person, out of respect for others and our community, that you be FULLY VACCINATED against COVID-19 per CDC guidance. If you are not FULLY VACCINATED we ask that you join us in the Online Everywhere experience.

Masks

GSA will follow CDC guidance with regard to mask wearing based upon current COVID-19 Community Level determinations for the county of Denver. CDC guidelines also advise basing your decision to wear a mask or not on your personal preference, informed by your personal level of risk tolerance. The community level risk designation may change as the meeting date approaches.

COVID-19 Testing

GSA does not have requirements in place for member testing prior to travel at this time but we highly encourage you to test before traveling. (Staff are still required to do so.) Please be aware that our protocols may be different at the time of the meeting, as infection/transmission rates rise or fall.
