Hello everyone,
Yes, a week until the start of the 2018 GSA National Meeting in Indianapolis. The History and Philosophy of Geology will be sponsoring several interesting sessions as well as the Tuesday Luncheon and Award Ceremony (06 November 2018: 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM, JW Marriott Indianapolis, Room 104). There is still time to sign up for that.
On Tuesday evening we will have our annual "Students and Friends" Reception with tasty snacks and liquid refreshments, as well as our book raffle (06 November 2018: 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM, JW Marriott Indianapolis, Room 106). Please come for good conversation and community.
I would like to put in a request for members to look at their bookshelves and see if you would like to winnow out some of your duplicate volumes for the raffle (I am cleaning out a least half a shelf - yeah!). Bring them to the H & PG booth (Booth 543).
Lastly, I would like to put out a call for volunteers to help at the H & PG booth during the meeting. Please let me know if you can help or stop in at the booth and volunteer to meet with our visitors and students.
