Critical Dates

19 Aug.: The last day to cancel rooms without a penalty

30 Aug.: Reservations must be received by this date in order to guarantee rooms at special meeting rates (all hotels except Hilton & Marriott)

4 Sept.: Reservation deadline (Marriott and Hilton)

11 Sept.: All changes, cancellations, and name substitutions must be finalized through OE

After 12 Sept.: You must contact the hotel directly with any changes or for new reservations

GSA Connects 2024 Room Block Request for 10+ Rooms

A minimum of 10 rooms is required for an online room block request.

Please submit your room block request HERE. Once your room block is reviewed, approved, and confirmed, you will receive an official confirmation letter from Orchid.Events, the Official Housing Provider for GSA Connects 2024.

Reservations booked at the Marriott through GSA Housing Bureau/Orchid Events by 21 Aug. will be entered in the “Boost Your Stay” raffle for:

To enter: Make your reservation through the GSA Housing Bureau/Orchid Events by 21 Aug.

To claim: The winner will be notified by 12 Sept. You must keep your hotel reservation to receive the prize. If you cancel your reservation, the prize will be forfeited and awarded to another attendee.

Protect Yourself from Scams

The official GSA housing bureau is Orchid.Events. To receive the GSA conference group rate at each hotel, reservations must be made through Orchid.Events and not directly with the hotels. GSA and Orchid.Events will not contact attendees directly to solicit new reservations. If you are contacted by a vendor who claims to represent GSA, please notify the GSA Meetings Department at meetings@geosociety.org or call +1-303-357-1041. Please do not make hotel arrangements or share any personal information through any means other than a trusted, reliable source.

Special Requests

Please contact Orchid.Events at +1-800-521-7845 or email at help@orchid.events if you have special requests and/or if you need to book a hotel suite. Requests are not guaranteed, and hotels will assign specific room types based on availability upon arrival.

Reservation Confirmation Acknowledgments

Orchid.Events will provide reservation acknowledgements via email within 24 hours when you book your reservation online or by phone ~ fax and mail reservation acknowledgements will be sent within 72 hours of receipt. If you do not receive your acknowledgement in this time frame, contact Orchid.Events. You will not receive written confirmation from the hotel.

Deposits, Cancellations, and Changes

All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card equaling the amount of one night’s room and tax for each room reserved. Reservations cancelled on or after 19 Aug. 2024 will be subject to a $25 USD fee for each room cancelled. Cancellations made after 12 Sept. 2024 will be subject to the hotel's cancellation policy. Failure to cancel a reservation 72 hours prior to arrival date will result in a one night’s room and tax non-refundable room charge posted to the credit card on file. Through 11 Sept. 2024, please send changes and/or cancellations to Orchid.Events via email at help@orchid.events or in writing by fax to +1-801-355-0250. After 12 Sept. 2024, contact hotels directly to make changes and cancellations.

Use the GSA Roommates & Rides community to share housing, airport shuttles, and/or carpool. You can also use this service to make arrangements to meet up with your colleagues.
