GSA will record for on-demand viewing after the meeting has ended all Pardee Keynote Symposia, Presidential Address & Awards, Noontime Lectures, Special Lectures, and Halbouty Distinguished Lecture, along with all topical and discipline sessions.

* Member fee applies to any current Professional, Student, or Early Career Professional (ECP) GSA or Associated Society member. ECP member is defined as a graduate with a degree in geology or related science with terminal (highest) degree within the past five years, and not planning to re-enter an academic program. Discount does not apply to guest registrants.

** The guest or companion registration fee is for non-geologists accompanying professional or student meeting registrants. This fee does not include access to technical sessions. Any guest wishing to see a specific presentation should go to the on-site registration desk to request a special pass.

  • Badges are required for access to all activities beginning on Saturday, 14 Oct. and should be visible at all times.
  • The guest or companion registration fee of $130 per person is available for non-geologist spouses or friends of professional and/or student meeting registrants.
  • Check in at the On-Site Registration Desk to purchase tickets for Ticketed Functions. Tickets are subject to availability.
  • GSA cannot provide refunds for on-site registration, or ticketed/special event sales.

Badge Ribbons: Attendees who have been notified that they should receive a ribbon for their badge should pick it up at the GSA Ribbon Board located in the Registration area.

Continuing Education Units

Meeting attendance, short courses, and field trips qualify for continuing education units (CEUs). One CEU equals 10 hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction.

Carbon Offsets for Conference Attendees

To help conference attendees who are committed to making the GSA Connects a sustainable event, the Geological Society of America will offer to conference attendees the option to purchase carbon offset credits for their travel to/from Pittsburgh. Learn more about our carbon offset program.
