Earn free meeting registration when you volunteer to work at the meeting for ten hours, plus get an insider’s view of the meeting!
By signing up to volunteer, you are making a commitment to work. All available jobs must be covered by a volunteer in order for the meeting to run well. Please do not take your commitment lightly. People are depending on you to be there!
How to Sign Up:
- Make sure you are a GSA Student Member in good standing.
Join GSA (if not already a member). Not sure? Check your status.
- Sign up as a student volunteer (sign up link will be here when the program opens).
- Register for the meeting (click the "I am a Student Volunteer" button). Note: If you have already registered for the Meeting and paid the fee as a Student Member, you will not be able to re-register as a Student Volunteer. If you are able to complete at least ten hours of work, your registration fee will be refunded after the Meeting.
Editing Your Work Schedule:
Jobs fill quickly, and there’s no guarantee you’ll get ten hours or the jobs you want. Check back frequently to Edit Work Schedule to add, change or delete jobs. You can edit your schedule up to and through the meeting. See below about charges for canceling your hours and/or coming to the meeting as a regular student member without volunteering.
Cancellations:
If you are unable to meet your work commitment, you must log in to your schedule on line and cancel your jobs, and email Heather Clark to let her know that you are canceling your commitment. To cancel your jobs, use the "Edit Work Schedule" link above.
If you cancel your volunteer hours after the cancellation deadline (26 August) your credit card on file will be charged the US$30 cancellation fee.
If you cancel your volunteer hours after the cancellation deadline (26 August) but still come to the meeting, you'll be charged the US$180 on-site Student Member registration fee.
If you are already at the meeting and decide not to work as a student volunteer, notify the Student Volunteer Office or Heather Clark. You'll be charged the cancellation fee and the regular on-site student registration fee (US$180).
