Transit Improvement and Service Disruption

TriMet, Portland’s regional transportation authority, announced that an improvement project will be taking place 10–23 October, and this will have some impact on attendees travelling to and from Portland international Airport and those staying at the DoubleTree.

These maps detail the shuttle service that will connect where the closure impacts:

Details for attendees:

  • For those staying at the DoubleTree: Starting on 10/10 the NE 11th Avenue MAX stop will close. Guests will need to walk two blocks to the NE 7th Avenue MAX stop to access westbound trains (toward downtown). Most guests will walk from the DoubleTree to the Oregon Convention Center, so this should not have a major impact.
  • For guests staying in the Lloyd (near the OCC): Getting from the airport to the Lloyd starting on 10/10, guests will board a red line train from baggage claim (it is the only train you can access at the airport). At Gateway Transit Center, transfer to a westbound blue line train to NE 60th Ave. At NE 60th Ave board the shuttle bus to NE 7th Avenue.
  • For guests staying Downtown: Getting from the airport to Downtown starting on 10/10, guests will board a red line train from baggage claim (it is the only train you can access at the airport).
