Complimentary media registration entitles professional journalists and public information officers (PIOs) from geoscience-related organizations to access scientific sessions and the exhibition area, for the express purpose of gathering news and information to produce media coverage of GSA meetings. Press badges will also admit holders to the onsite newsroom, as well as events specifically for media representatives. All press badges are issued at the sole discretion of the GSA Press Office, and are not transferrable.
All presenters must pay the registration fee to attend the Annual Meeting. Journalists and PIOs must pay for any short courses, field trips, or ticketed events in which they wish to participate.

Editors of journals or other publications who do not report for or edit their outlet’s news section are not eligible for complimentary press registration.
Media preregistration is encouraged by Monday, 9 September. After that date, you may register on-site with your appropriate media credentials. Preregistered members of the media should check-in and pick up their badges and programs in the main registration area.
