The GSA Geoinformatics and Data Science division is soliciting nominations for the positions of Vice Chair (aka Chair-Elect) and Secretary/Treasurer for the 2024-2025 academic year. The time commitment is relatively light, but it is highly rewarding in the sense that you will help shape the future of the GSA GIDS division and you get to interact with a great like-minded group.
The Chair-Elect's principal duties are to co-chair the program committee for the GSA annual meeting and attend the monthly management board meetings. The Chair-Elect will succeed the Chair after one year of service. The secretary-treasurer shall serve for a term of two years and shall be eligible for re-election without limitation.
