I thought G&S Members might be interested in learning about the American Geosciences Institute's (AGI) recently launched innovative new program targeted at decision makers. It also has valuable "resources for researchers and educators. The Critical Issues Program connects end-users to the wealth of information available on issues at the intersection of geoscience and society, including energy, climate, water, natural hazards, and mineral
resources.
The Critical Issues Program offers three main resources ideal for use in college courses, particularly those with an environmental or policy emphasis:
Critical Issues Website:

The Critical Issues website is the hub for our range of informational resources. Users can start with the basics and primer pages, which offer entry-level summaries of geoscience topics including drought, mining, renewable energy, earthquakes, and many more. These introductory resources provide links to more detailed information in a variety of formats, such as frequently asked questions, interactive maps, webinars, case studies, and more in-depth research database publications.
Critical Issues Research Database:

The Critical Issues Research Database makes it easier to find decision-relevant geoscience information by providing a centralized source of over 3500 publications from State Geological Surveys, the U.S. Geological Survey, and
professional geoscience organizations. The database offers location-based searching, and the ability to search the full text of documents in the database.
Critical Issues Webinars:
