  • Registration closes soon for the 2024 Structural Geology and Tectonics Biennial Forum, June 24-27,

    We are excited to see you in beautiful northwest Washington this June for the 7th biennial SGT Forum, held at Western Washington University. 

    Field trips and workshops are scheduled for Monday and Thursday (June 24 and 27). We will meet on campus Tuesday and Wednesday June 25 and 26 for posters, talks, panel discussions and conversation over shared meals.
    Register now to be counted in the group meals, to reserve on-campus housing, and to grab a spot in the workshops and field trips.  Registration closes May 31 June 3.

    Submit an abstract! Your contribution shapes the meeting. The heart of the forum is informal conversation around SGT topics. Expect lively poster sessions, a variety of short talks, and conversations about central concerns in our discipline. Bring an update on your work in progress, share highlights from your recent publication, raise a question to discuss, or pose an intriguing hypothesis. The abstract deadline is May 31 June 3. (And if you need a few days beyond that, just ask.)


    Forum registration, meals, field trips and workshops are no cost to participants, thanks to a grant from NSF Tectonics Program and sponsorship from the GSA Structural Geology and Tectonics Division.  Thank you to both organizations!
