Nominations Deadline: 15 June 2017 for position terms beginning 1 July 2018
Dear GSA Division Management Board Members:
The Nominations Committee of GSA will be meeting this July to prepare a slate for GSA officers/councilors/committee openings for the Council to consider and approve at its Fall meeting during the 2016 GSA Annual Meeting in Denver and is now soliciting nominations. Individuals approved will take office in July 2017. We are hoping that you will help us find good candidates from the GSA membership to fill these open positions, a list of which is attached. We know that all of you recognize the importance of finding enthusiastic and talented people to serve as GSA leaders either as Officers/Councilors or on GSA committees. We look forward to your nomination of candidates representing the full diversity of the GSA membership, including geological specialty, region, division, and employment sector (e.g., student, academic, government, industry, professional practice), as well as ethnic, racial and gender diversity.
The Nominations Committee would welcome your nominations for any and all positions. There are nomination forms accessible via the GSA website.
You may also send your nominations to Pamela Fistell at GSA Headquarters (pfistell@geosociety.org). Please include a brief description of the individuals’ pertinent qualifications as well as a justification for nominating your candidates or self nominations, as this is very helpful to the committee in its deliberations.
