    The USGS South Atlantic Water Science Center is pleased to announce two openings for Hydrologists (GS-11/12). We are seeking enthusiastic scientists with skills in groundwater modeling and water quality networks. Selected individuals may choose to locate in Norcross, Georgia; Columbia, South Carolina; or Raleigh, North Carolina.

    Ideal candidates will possess expertise in some combination of the following:

    Position 1: Groundwater Modeling Focus

    Groundwater modeling, computer programming, hydrogeologic/groundwater processes, surface water-groundwater interactions, contaminant transport, aquifer testing, soil and groundwater sampling, remediation, etc.

    -OR-

    Position 2: Water-Quality Networks

    Coordinating monitoring networks; sample-collection and continuous monitoring protocols; understanding of compliance with Federal and State water-quality regulations and standards; water chemistry; hydrologic and water-quality modeling; water-quality assessments of hydrologic systems; water-management issues, etc.
