Two Items from Tim Beach, Past Chair (beacht@austin.utexas.edu):
- The Election of two new officers: send nominations and a ~150-word bio to me by 15 August 2022.
- Newsletter: send me items for the Newsletter by 15 August: new positions, awards, publications, and field work.
We need candidates for two offices to start an election in Mid-August:
- Chair-Elect (a 3-year position, with 1 year as Chair-elect, 1 year as Chair, and 1 year as Past-Chair)
- Student Representative (a two-year position)

We have a very healthy membership of more the 300 and we have multiple Soils Sessions at the GSA Meeting in Denver for 2022. Please consider running for these important offices to continue the vibrancy and growth of our division!
