  • GSA 2024: Rio Grande Rift session (T177)

    Hello all,
    Please consider submitting an abstract to session "T177. The Rio Grande Rift: Exploring Connections between Deformation, Magmatism, Metamorphism, Sedimentation, Mineralization, and Mantle-to-Surface Processes during Continental Extension." organized by Alyssa Abbey, Alex Tye, Jason Ricketts, and Joshua Rosera. 
    The session has a broad scope, and we welcome any submission highlighting advances in understanding continental rift systems. If you or any students you are working with have work you would wish to present, we would encourage you to consider submitting an abstract. Our sessions' invited speaker is Jessica Jobe (USGS), and the session has been endorsed by the Geochronology, Structural Geology and Tectonics, Sedimentary Geology, and Mineralogy, Geochemistry, Petrology, and Volcanology, and Soils and Soil Processes divisions of GSA. 
    GSA 2024 will be held in Anaheim, CA, between the 22nd – 25th of September (website). Abstract submissions are currently open and will remain so until be open until the 18th of June. We will be happy to provide any further information or answer any questions you may have.
