Greetings,
I hope this finds everyone well and ready for the upcoming GSA meeting in Seattle! The Karst Division management board has been busily preparing and we look forward to some new and exciting events at the meeting for the Division. A few items of note as you make your conference plans:
1. On the Connected Community is a brief outline of most of the karst activities during the conference, including the majority of karst-themed sessions (though not all of them!), the Division Business Meeting, and the Karst Division social and awards reception.
2. On Tuesday, we will have a special dedication session to Dr. Nick Crawford, so please be sure to attend if possible, as there is a great lineup of talks and Dr. Crawford himself will be in attendance and presenting.
3. Also on Tuesday, please attend the GSA Friends of Karst event (FOK@GSA2017, 6:30-9:30 pm, Tuesday 10/24, at Optimism Brewing Company, 1158 Broadway, Seattle, 98122).
Also, please visit the Karst Division booth (#613) in the Exhibit Hall and support the Division by sending potential new members and those interested in karst and all things related to the booth for more info on joining or participating in the Division.
