The Environmental and Engineering Geology Division of the Geological Society of America is seeking a student representative for a term of two years, including an additional year serving in an advisory capacity to the next incoming student representative. The student can be an undergraduate or graduate student. The student representative shall advise the Division Board Members on matters concerning GSA and EEGD student matters as well as Division outreach to a young audience including social media. The student will also serve on the GSA Student Advisory Group on behalf of the division. A student representative selected to this position is a voting member of the Division Management Board.
Interested students should provide a resume, a brief statement (300 words or less) expressing your area of interest within EEGD, academic status (undergraduate or graduate student), why you are interested in this position, any previous experiences that might be beneficial to serving in this capacity, and what you hope to gain from this position.
