EarthCache GeoVentures

Welcome to a wonderful way to see the world through the eyes of Earth Science.   EarthCache GeoVentures TM is the most amazing way to Let the Earth be your teacher!

EarthCache GeoVentures will take you to some of the amazing places on our planet with a group of like-minded geocachers.  They will provide you educational experiences, as well as the opportunity to visit geocaches, including EarthCaches.  The trips are all led by experiences geocachers - many being EarthCache reviewers.


Caching Iceland


9-16 August 2015

Sitting on the spreading ridge of two massive tectonic plates, Iceland is a land of many contrasts. The volcanism at this spreading zone and associated geothermal features are outstanding laboratories to learn about our dynamic planet.   See icecaps, glaciers, and deep fjords as well as the history of the vikings and ancient Icelandic dwellers.

Caching in this amazing landscape is a unique experience - visit EarthCaches and traditionals in amazing settings with caching friends. 

No geology knowledge is needed.

GeoCaching on an Active Volcano
Big Island of Hawaii



This eight-day (seven night) field experience on the Big Island of Hawaii is a wonderful mix of caching experiences and learning about active volcanoes.  We will spend time exploring the volcano, while visiting EarthCaches and Traditional Caches around the environment.  We will visit  places that tourists do not visit, as well as never missing that photo opportunity at every vista.

This trip is led by geologist, educator and the creator of EarthCaching - Geoaware. Each day will start with a brief talk, followed by a journey into the field to explore the volcano and discover caches.   Our evenings will be spent enjoying the company of cachers who share our enthusiasm for the planet.

No geology knowledge is needed.
